Summer Interns

Team Expansion sent Summer interns to Mozambique, Tanzania, and Ghana.  Here is the crew that went to Ghana.  From left to right is Kimberly(the coach) , Becca, Brandon and Tabitha.

They are doing presentations in the local churches trying to help them become more involved in world evangelism.  During the week they do house to house evangelism with the local pastors and two Ghanaian team mates, Israel and Gideon.

As a result of their witnessing, the Holy Spirit prompted Ruth to accept Jesus as her Savior.  Here Pastor Wisdom and Israel witmess Ruth being buried in baptism.

Wouldn't you have like to have witnessed this new birth?

And the angels rejoice!

It was a good week.  Another made a verbal commitment to follow Christ and four others agreed to study more with pastor Wisdom.  Pray that these too will accept Jesus' invitation.

Mobilizing West Africans...

Please pray for our brand new efforts in Ghana to mobilize existing churches to send West Africans to near-neighbor unreached people groups. To gear up for this exciting approach, our African Field Coordinator ("Martin") and his family have moved to Ghana for 7 months. Please pray...

• For discernment in knowing exactly how to coach prospective recruits
• For wisdom in forging good partnerships with churches in Ghana
• For health and energy to overcome logistical challenges setting up this new base (Martin in particular has been fighting malaria)
• For Martin's uprooted family, adapting to a new place
• For the first outreach, currently slated among a Muslim group in Burkina Faso

Trucks full of corn from the gift of IDES.

The team in Masasi, Tanzania received a wonderful gift of Aid from IDES (International Disaster & Emergency Services - www.ides.org) of $18,695 to help buy and distribute over 60 metric tons of corn to the nationals during this time of acute hunger.
