Jesus said, “Allow the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”  Mark 10:14

It is always encouraging for me to read this passage of Scripture and see how important Jesus sees children.  In this busy society, we often overlook children and see them as being a burden or something we can put to the side until we can fit them into our schedule.  Our focus needs to be realigned; we need to strive in everything to be more like Christ.

Greetings!  There are many opportunities that continue to arise at Team Expansion; the most resent is for the need for a youth minister.

The need is working with Hispanic youth in Oregon.  If you have a desire to work among the unreached Hispanic culture here in the states, this may be for you!

  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

We have each been called to His purpose when we accepted Him as our personal Lord and Savior.  We then also have an obligation to serve Him and to spread the good news that we know about and possess.  We can’t hold on to the saving grace we have, we must spread the grace that God has given us to others who have not had that chance.

wants to start a Sports and English Church Camp starting in the summer of 2006 and then praying that it will continue every summer!

Harvest Network

Luke 12:22-24 “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or about your body, what you will wear.  For life is more than food and the body more than clothing.  Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have neither storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them, how much more valuable you are than the birds!”

This is a verse that always seems to be “well duh!”  But it is a really hard one for me to continually hold on to!  We often get caught up in what we need to do for ourselves rather than allowing God to work in His timing and in His way.

One thing that we probably worry about the most is the future.  What am I going to do?  How am I going to provide for my needs?  And the list goes on!  We need to wake up and realize that it’s about God and not about us getting by on our own.

Where does God want us to trust Him more?  Is it with the future?  Is it with finances?  Is it with__________?  We each have to fill in that blank! 

It takes courage and more than that, it takes faith for us to move when God leads us to go in His direction!

There is a need for workers in Central Asia!  If you are willing to go and teach English or to work/teach agriculture, this just might be your leading!

Requirements:

1. Love God above all else and desire a growing relationship with Him
2. Be willing to learn the language and culture of the nationals
3. Be willing to serve wholeheartedly
4. Raise your own financial support to go to this land

Tanzania

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.”

We are to be on guard at all times! Satan is always trying to get us to turn away from God, even a little bit! Turning away from God is what Satan is all about doing!

We must stand firm in the Word of God and hold fast to His promises!
Are you interested in serving God in a foreign country? God is able to use each of us because He has designed us in a way to work for His glory.

We have an opportunity for you to serve in Tanzania. There is currently a team that is established in Tanzania but is looking for faithful servants to come and join them! There is always a variety of needs on any given team, you maybe just the person the team has been praying for God to send.

Follow the leading which God has laid on your heart! He will give you strength and will provide for you! Don’t allow Satan to stop you from the work of our Savior and Lord!

3. Be willing to learn the culture and the language
4. Always be a servant for the Lord, Jesus Christ

Harvest Network

In Acts 20, Paul teaches us that it is important to work with our own hands.  It is not always going to be easy work and most of the time it will be hard work.  Paul quotes Jesus in verse 35 in saying, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Wow, do we live like it’s more of a blessing to give of our time, money and anything else we are asked to give?  I think more often than not, we would rather have someone giving to us than to give to others.  Sometimes, there are things that are easy to give.  But I do believe that it is often easier to receive than to give.

As we examine our lives, what can we give or give more of?  We each have something that we can give, God has blessed us in many ways and He didn’t intend for us to enjoy them all by ourselves.  Remember, everything comes from Him and when we give to others it’s as if we are giving back to God what is already His!

There are many ways in which we are able to give of our time and money and talents God has blessed us with.  But are we really doing that?  There is a need for workers in Mongolia.  There is currently a very small team there, but they are dedicated to the place where God has led them!  The team is in need of labors for this harvest field and they need men can be strong leaders.  Please take the time to pray about the possibility of giving in this place!

2. Have a desire to learn the language and culture of Mongolia
3. Be willing to work with the team that is currently on field
4. Allow God to use you in a number of ways for His glory

Harvest Network 7-5-05

How often do we take the time to really sit and listen to God speak?  Do we spend time everyday talking to Him?  How important do we think it is to listen and speak to God?

Luke shows us that it is of up most importance!  We can see from his writing in Luke 5:16 that Jesus, the Son of God, found it important to pray and to listen to His Father! “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

Jesus spoke often with His Father, this is our sinless Savior talking to God!  Now, how important do we see praying and listening? 

Our focus must be on Christ in everything that we do!  Where is our focus when it comes to knowing what God wants us to do with the abilities and talents He has given us?

Has God gifted you in the area of graphic design, writing, video or any type of media related field?  If you answered yes, we have an opportunity for you!

The promotions department exists of one full-time person and at this time an apprentice and an intern (both leaving in August).  Nick, Promotions Director, is looking for someone who would be interested in helping him out with all that has to be done for the “look” of Team Expansion.  If you have experience and want to help out in this area, let us know!

Harvest Network 6-21-05

Hebrews 12:1 “Let us run the race that is before us and never give up.”

There are many ways in which we run the race that is set before us.  We each have a different race!  God gives us unique opportunities and gifts that we use in the ‘race’ God calls us to.

There is never a gift to small that God is not able to use.  We are all designed to do the work of God!  Are we willing to do that work?

There are many opportunities to work with Team Expansion. A short-term, state-side project would be a wonderful chance for your Sunday school class, small group or even family to bond. Team Expansion has been blessed in the purchasing of land to use as the new home of International Services and also a training center for missionaries and their families.

In order to see our vision become a reality and in order to use the resources God has given us wisely, we are doing as much work as we can without hiring professionals.  We are looking for people who are willing to come and serve God in a way that will impact thousands of people over time!

We have all types of projects that need to be worked on regardless of skill. (If you are especially gifted in an area of construction that would be a plus.— But absolutely not a requirement!) We would love to have anyone who is willing to work!

Harvest Network 6-14-05

There are many things that come along in life that we do not understand and that we are not meant to grasp in order for God’s glory to shine completely.  When we are hit by things we cannot comprehend, we must trust that all things are in His hands!

In Acts 1:7-8…Jesus said, “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

What is God leading us to do that causes us to step out in faith?  It is not meant for us to understand all the situations that God places before us. We are, none the less, held accountable for how our faith influences our response in those times.

The need of planting churches in the Philippines is incredible.  There are many there who have yet to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior!  We have the Good News!  How are we using the knowledge we hold?

Requirements:

1. Love God above all else and desire a growing relationship with Him
2. Ministry Experience (on some level)
3. Commit to at least a year of service
4. Be willing to learn the culture and language

WOW—God is so good! I just returned from a week of Pre-Field Orientation for our Summer Pathway interns. This year we have 60 interns entering 15 fields! Harvest Network 5-24-05

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Here, I believe that Jesus made it clear that His name was to be spread throughout the whole earth!  If we take a closer look, we will see that He wanted them, and us, to spread His name right where we are.  While God may not lead us all to go to a foreign country we are all directed to spread the name of Christ right where we are!

I believe it is easy to think that the only mission fields are outside of the US.  However, we need to realize that there are lost and dieing people right next door!

If you have not been lead to do foreign work, there is nothing wrong with that, but don’t forget that you are called to spread the Gospel of Christ where we’ve been planted!

West Kendall Christian Church in Miami, Florida is in need of a youth minister.  This area is largely a Hispanic community and while the youth speak English, many of the parents do not.  The ideal person for this position would be bilingual and have a passion for youth!

The area is surrounded by four high schools with a total population of 15,000.  There is a great potential in this area and the idea is to aggressively and intentionally evangelize!  There is openness in the community but the need exists to have someone specifically handle this ministry!

If this is a ministry position that you could fill, please let us know!  If you have questions concerning this position, we would be glad to help you out as well!

2. Have a passion for youth

3. Ideally-bilingual (Spanish/English)

4. 1 year commitment
