The PACE concept began through Team Expansion's involvement in preparing for Envision '96, the National Missionary Convention for 1996, in Lexington, Kentucky. It took place at Rupp Arena (see a main session, pictured above), Nov., 1996. In those sessions and others, God began to speak to local churches and to Team Expansion to say, "I am with you always!" -- and He's especially with us as we seek to carry out the Great Commission! :-) In short, PACE is a movement of churches, working in partnership with Team Expansion, to launch church-planting movements among specific unreached people groups that these churches have respectively "adopted." At regular PACE gatherings, called PACE-Labs, churches and mission reps share their "lessons learned" and challenge one another to stay the course until the project is fulfilled.

Now, some 8 years later, PACE hasn't cooled off. It's working... and for that, there's hope! Meet Melanie Robinson, the PACE Project Coordinator at Shively Christian Church, Louisville, KY (pictured above). Melanie now serves Team Expansion as well, working as our Sec'y/Receptionist, as well as a special PACE Assistant. Join her on this special webpage for updates to the PACE movement! Welcome Melanie!
